General rules for determining remuneration

Remuneration is determined individually For each case. Factors that affect the cost of the service are:

• Type of case: (e.g. divorce, criminal case, compensation, inheritance case).
• The complexity of the case: Does it require analysis of many documents, or does it involve complex regulations.
• Anticipated workload: Estimated time spent on the case.
• The value of the subject matter of the dispute: In some cases (e.g., property), the fee may depend on the value of the dispute.
• Number and type of activities required: Whether it includes just advice or full representation in court.

Available billing models

Billing models used:

• Hourly billing: The fee is determined on the basis of the number of hours spent on the case, with a rate per hour of work of the lawyer.
• Lump sum remuneration: A fixed fee for performing a specific service or handling a case from start to finish (e.g., drafting a contract, handling a divorce case).
• Success fee: Part of the fee depends on the positive outcome of the case (e.g., obtaining compensation). It is worth noting that this model is often combined with a flat fee (e.g., a lower initial rate plus a success fee).
• Service Packages: Legal services for companies, various packages with a certain number of hours or range of services at a fixed monthly price.

Cost of the first consultation/legal advice

• The first consultation is paid and amounts to PLN 350 (up to 60 min)
• Amount for the first consultation will be credited for remuneration for the continued handling of the case.
